Once again, Walt Disney World is offering a Disney Student Seminar tailored for the homeschool community. It will be held on January 28, 2016, and Epcot is the host park. The event, entitled Expedition D82, is a “self-guided learning adventure.” The students will be given a workbook to complete which will be full of things to do and discover on their trip around the world! The day will explore the “11 nations of the World Showcase,” and looks at the “people, places and cultures” of those nations. It is self-paced and will have Learning Stations set up to guide you on your explorations.
Disney offers discounted multi-day tickets to attend this event. The following information is taken from the Disney Youth Programs website:
The Disney Student Seminars program term is from January 20, 2016 to February 3, 2016. You MUST ATTEND the January 28, 2016, Disney Student Seminars – Expedition D82, at Epcot® to participate in Student Seminars and to use your Walt Disney World® Theme Park tickets. Additional Disney Youth Education Series – Individual Enrollment programs can be added during the January 20, 2016 – February 3, 2016, time frame.
This a departure from other Student Seminars. The self-guided tour gives your family the flexibility to learn at your own pace and to explore individual interests within each nation.
Within each country are shops, dining experiences, and attractions aimed at giving you a full immersion in the smells, sights and sounds of each country. An added bonus is that you have the opportunity to talk with Cast Members who represent each country. Disney’s Cultural Representative Program enables participants from the above countries to work and share their culture with Disney guests.
