Permission to Hustle Retreat was a blogging retreat. I was given a reduced rate to attend. All thoughts opinions, and comments are my own.

Permission to Hustle Retreat

Speakers and Sponsors

When I came home from the Permission to Hustle Retreat, I wrote about my experiences and what I learned. I also talked about Carnival Cruise Line and did a review of my experiences including my allergy dining experience. In this post, I am going to talk about all the awesome Permission to Hustle Retreat Sponsors and Speakers because 1) without the sponsor’s Permission to Hustle Retreat would not have happened, and 2) without the speaker’s Permission to Hustle Retreat would have just been a cruise.

Audrey McClelland and Vera Sweeney (the amazing duo behind Permission to Hustle Retreat) worked tirelessly to bring the attendees a retreat that was relaxing, informative and educational, but they took it one step further. This retreat made sure that we bonded as a group of women in the pursuit of lifting one another up and helping the other attendees reach their goals and aspirations.

PERMISSION TO HUSTLE RETREAT: SPEAKERS and SPONSORS

THE SPEAKERS:

We had a line-up of fantastic speakers:

Audrey and Vera (join their Facebook Group to find out about any upcoming events) were the emcees and kept things running smoothly. In their sessions they freely offered their years of wisdom and wealth of knowledge what worked (or didn’t work) in their own businesses. Every speaker was vulnerable and shared from their heart.

Joyce Olivia from Carnival Cruise shared briefly about who Carnival’s demographic is and crafting an email to Carnival for sponsored work.

Sami Cone, (blogging at Sami Cone) author of Raising Uncommon Kids  (each attendee received a copy of her book): From Blog to Broadcast: How to Multiply your Influence Off the Internet – she talked about working with local television outlets.

Keri Lyn Renner (blogging at She Saved) Affiliate Tough Love – tips for using affiliate links to make money.

Julie Tran Deily (Blogging at The LIttle Kitchen): From Scheduling & Automation to Organizing and Photo Editing: Apps and tools to make your blogging life easier. Julie shared great information for taking and editing photos.

Natalie Diaz (owner of Twiniversity) at Stop Trying to Be Everything To Everyone – Why Niche Markets are More Important in Today’s Social Marketplace. Natalie is a mom of twins, and she talked about how she makes a living working in a very niche market. She gave us tools to help define our niche.

Trisha Haas (blogging at The Salty Side Dish) SEO and Pinterest: How to Increase your Pageviews. Since implementing Trisha’s Pinterest types, I have seen a 10X increase in traffic to my blog from Pinterest.

Amiyrah Martin (Four Hats and Frugal)  Building Your Video and Audio Foundation – 10 Tips to Rock Live Streaming and Podcasting Right at the Beginning. Amiyrah gave us such fantastic tips for live streaming. Some I have implemented and some are on the back burner while I focus on a few other things. But all of her advice was relevant and doable.

The Sponsors:

No conference/retreat would be complete without amazing sponsors. The swag we received was fantastic, and the range of sponsors was great. (See Below for a complete list):

My very favorite Item was the CEO T-Shirt. This was a gift from Permission to Hustle. Thanks Audrey and Vera. I need to wear this more often to remind myself that I am the CEO, and not “just a mom.”

Santo Wrap: This fantastic beach wear wrap looks great on every body style!

Land’s End: Awesome Tote. Land’s End has been a go to for items such as coats, gloves, hats, pants, but I have never purchased any totes from them. This canvas bag is just the right size to carry essentials – water bottle, pens, notebook. I can keep it in the car or carry it with me. Perfect!

Roost Crate: Monthly Subscription Boxes for all occasions with delightful items. Think “Farmer’s Market in a Box.” They work with local artisans to bring you unique and wonderful boxes.

Foster Grant offers such a wide range of sunglasses. Since I wear glasses, I have given my Foster Grants to my daughter!

Venus Gillette –  I did a little happy dance. These are the razors I use. However, I do not replace my blades often enough. Getting a new set of blades actually made me squeal.

Tide provided us with stain pens. At one point in my life, I actually thought I was the only one that got stains on my clothes on a regular basis. It turns out there are many more of us staining our clothes and secretly trying to hide it.

RocksBox: Awesome stylish earrings. RocksBox is a monthly subscription box service. Get jewelry, wear and return or buy the pieces you love. Repeat. This is a fantastic way to see if you will love the pieces while you are wearing them.

Omaha Steaks: Beef Jerky. My son, Marcus, took this before I could even get a photo of it. Thanks Omaha Steaks for supplying a teenager with needed protein. He loved it!
