With the aim of crafting biblical narratives into visually captivating comics, this work merges the artistry of Sergio Cariello with the storytelling prowess of Doug Mauss. Together, they embark on a bold endeavor: adapting the profound and multifaceted texts of the Bible for a younger audience, promising a journey through biblical text adaptation like no other. As we delve into this review, let&#8217;s remain open to the rich tapestry of Bible genres, interpretations, and the transformative potential of religious comics for the younger (and older) generations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, I already owned The Action Bible, and I am reading it with my adult autistic son. While many versions of the Bible have failed, this is the first one that he will actively engage with. Second, when I was asked to explore this new edition, I knew that any enhancements would help in our quest to better understand God&#8217;s Word and I was excited to take a look at it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was given a free copy of this product for review. First, David C. Cook is a publisher of children&#8217;s books and resources that bring glory to God and point people to Christ.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comic book-style picture Bible is not a full Bible. However, is designed to have you understand and engage in God&#8217;s Word. The stories are in Chronological Order (as the events happened and not as they are listed in the traditional Bible). But this helps your child get a full picture of God&#8217;s redemptive story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind, these are not actual word-for-word Bible stories. However, they are a retelling of stories from the NIV Bible with a blend of powerful imagery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Faith in Action Badges include Courage, Faith, Hope, Love, Service, Trust and Wisdom. Furthermore, the table of contents allows you to focus on one of those attributes instead of reading from start to finish.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the QR Codes allow you to access digital content such as videos, games, devotionals, maps and more to give your children a fun way to enhance the Bible story they have just read. I believe the comic book format keeps him interested.
