PRAYERS FOR A HOMESCHOOL MOM

It’s a Monday morning, and I woke up exhausted after a full weekend. I enjoyed time with my family, spent Saturday afternoon decluttering, got to hear a fantastic guest speaker at church, and hosted a birthday party celebrating my youngest child. Today I woke up tired and not ready to conquer this busy week. But I have found when I focus on all I have to do, I become even less motivated to take on the challenges ahead. So I am offering these Prayers for a Homeschool Mom to encourage you today. May you be blessed by my words today.

Today I pray that you are encouraged by others. Father, I ask that you send someone to bless this momma and that you give an extra dose of energy and motivation! Homeschool is long, hard, and sometimes thankless.

Lord, have this sweet mom feel gratitude from the young ones learning at her home. She is giving up so much to impart Your Word into her children. She is working hard to raise up a generation that loves and serves you. Give her the strength to go the distance in this endeavor.

Father, give the women who come across this post the rest that only You can give. Help them to lay their anxieties at your feet and lay their heads in your lap. Help them breathe in you and exhale trials and tribulations. And when they lay their heads down at night grant them restful sleep – a sweet slumber that comes from a peace that only You can give.

Lord, convey your love through the people we encounter. And help us to be able to look into the face of another mom who is weary and give her encouragement to continue on. And when she is feeling weary and thinks she is failing, send her another mom that encourages her. Help us to be a blessing to each other.

Lord, bless the marriages of these women who have dedicated so much of their lives to teaching their children. Remind them to devote time to their husbands. Enable them to find the energy and fortitude to bless their husbands. Help them to look past the things that annoy them and hold fast to the reasons they fell in love with their husbands.

Holy Spirit, grant the woman reading this the ability to discern the right paths for her and her children regarding curriculum, friends, and knowing when to seek outside help. These children are fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image. When she looks at them, help her to see You, and help her to remember she is raising Your children.

And Lord, I ask that as you bless the woman reading this, You give her a boldness to go before Your throne to ask for whatever she needs to continue on. Give her a desire for more of you. Give her a passion for the path you have placed before her. And help her to see your vision for her life with a clarity that only comes from knowing you.

Dear Homeschool Mom: May your sleep be sweet, your days be fruitful, and your life be full of blessings. May your husband and children rise up and call you blessed. And may your God supply you with everything you need to accomplish what he has put before you. I have prayed often in these 25 years – READ MY PRAYERS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS!
