Once upon a time, I used to go into the local teacher supply store and purchase books with great ideas. They were organized by subject and holidays/seasons. Math, science, history, English – any subject you could imagine, and anything you wanted to teach could be found there. The only problem was it was 1) Expensive, and 2) My house got overrun by books.  Enter My Teaching Library and their Download Club. They are a complete homeschool printable teaching resource that may just be what your family has been looking for.

How Our Family Has Used My Teaching Library

I knew that we were going on vacation to the beach so I searched for ocean resources. We used the Oceans – World Geography Nomenclature Cards to discuss the number and names of the oceans of the world.

The Penguins in the World chart came in handy when we visited the aquarium that housed many different types of penguins.

Not convinced this is the Homeschool Printable Teaching Resource library for you?

One annual low price will enable you to have thousands of dollars of resources at your fingertips. Easy to download, print and use!

Did I mention that they have homeschool printables for high school, middle school, elementary school, and even Preschool and Kindergarten?

Our Favorite Printable Homeschool Resources from My Teaching Library

Pumpkin Science has allowed us to easily be pumpkin scientists with little preparation on my part. (I call that a win). Jack-Jack has described our pumpkins and he has weighed our pumpkins. This homeschool resource has you using a common fall item to compare, contrast, observe, sort, graph, and more.

Additionally, these are homeschool activities you can do with multiple children. Each child can weigh their pumpkin and then all the pumpkins are sorted in order of weight. The Pumpkin Seed Experiment has you counting the seeds and comparing the weight of the pumpkin with the number of seeds. I won’t spoil your fun by telling you our results!

After you finish your Pumpkin Science Worksheets, there are additional questions to continue your pumpkin investigations on your way to being a true pumpkin scientist! This is fun for all ages.

Another Resource that we have used and loved is the Money Go Fish Card game. My youngest son is autistic. He knows the names of money (nickel, dime), but he simply cannot remember what each piece is worth (5 cents, 10 cents). I simply printed off the money cards and we have had a grand time play Go Fish.

I am hoping that by repeatedly seeing and matching the Nickel card to the nickel and them both having 5 cent on them will help solidify the value of money.

My Overall Review of My Teaching Library

I will not lie to you. When I first sat down to research My Teaching Library, I actually thought that I would never use this resource outside of the review. But as I started to browse this library and realize the treasure trove at my fingertips, I got more and more excited for all the potential for enrichment, enhancement and fun.

Additionally, I love the ease and flexibility. If I wake up today, and using their everyday lessons seems dry and boring or if I just decided because the leaves are turning we are going to do a leaf and decide to change out an activity, I can do so easily.

I wholeheartedly give My Teaching Library two thumbs up for this creative website that offers teachers and homeschool families valuable resources for a fraction of the cost found elsewhere.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR OUR FAMILY WITH MY TEACHING LIBRARY?

I am sure we will begin looking at Thanksgiving, The Mayflower, and Turkeys!
