MY ONE WORD – CHANGE

A MOTHER’S RANDOM THOUGHTS HAS A NEW HOME

Please bear with me as I make changes. My One Word – Change and the new year begin with major changes. I am moving my blog to a new platform. This year is starting out with a bang and continuing with a lot of changes – inside myself and the world around me. My One Word last year was Strength! It was a great year and I so look forward to this year.

EMBRACING MY ONE WORD AND CHANGING MY FOCUS

 

It’s 2017. I have picked a word to define my year. This year my word of the year is Change.

MY FIRST CHANGE FOR 2017 IS MOVING MY BLOG:

You may not notice an extreme change, but I have been on Google Blogger for years. I keep saying, “Next Year.” Well, I made 2017, the year that I moved my blog. Here is my new WordPress Blog. This change is a little scary for me. I was confident and comfortable with Blogger, but it wasn’t serving me well. I knew that I needed to make a change, but it kept being easy to say, “I will do it later.”

Later doesn’t come unless we make it happen! I want this to be a year that I embrace change. My One Word reflects that. I want this to be a year that when change comes, I am not afraid. I know that change is hard for most people (including me). Instead of cowering or worry about the changes that will come, I want to run into those changes. I also want to make some changes that I keep saying, “Next year, I will. . .” How many times have you said that?

My One Word: CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU:

Make it this year. Make this year the year you change (fill in the blank). We cannot sit back and rely on others to make the changes we so desperately want in our lives. I selected this word because I knew that it was time to make the necessary changes to propel myself into the next season of life.
