|The Red Shoes are in the pink and brown box.|
I bought a dress late last year. I remember thinking, “Red shoes would look awesome with this dress.” For some reason, I forgot that I bought red shoes. I went to wear the dress last month, and opened box after box trying to figure out the best pair of shoes to wear. I finally settled on my black pair.
Years ago, I had a device called a P-Touch. It was a label maker, and I labeled binders, boxes, shelves, etc.
I had mine for a couple of years and then it broke. I decided I didn’t want the hassle of one more device.
I know a friend who use to take Polaroid photos of her shoes and attach them to the boxes. I don’t have a Polaroid camera, and I am not buying one to label things.
I came across an easy solution. I take a photo of the shoe or contents of the box, and print it on adhesive labels. I buy sheets of labels to print for shipping packages. I can print 4 shoes on each label.
Then I simply attach the label to the outside of the box.
I can quickly see the contents of the box without opening every shoe box.
I can use this method for many different uses. Take a photo of the contents of boxes in storage and attach it to the outside of the box.
Take a photo of the contents of Christmas boxes. No more rummaging through the boxes to find one item. This also makes packing up the decorations easier, because you know what goes back in each box.
The labels don’t have to be perfect. In fact, I printed them at low resolution because I don’t want to use a ton of ink. But now I can easily see what is in each box!
Anything you store can be labeled with photo labels. Doesn’t that look neat and organized?
I would love to see your before and after of your shoes or closet!
