I have been invited to co-host the Mommy Reality Challenge #28 – What is on your refrigerator door? I encourage you to take pictures and post them on Facebook, Instragram, your blog, or Twitter with the #MommyReality. Come join the fun!
My refrigerator is a constantly changing piece of art! My kids don’t even ask me to post things on the refrigerator; if they have an art piece they want highlighted they just post it themselves. But what other items can be found lurking on the door? Come along with me and find out.
This photo is brought to you by the Letters D and M, and the American Flag. This section of the door includes various magnets and pictures of our family. The middle magnet reads “Friends Forever”, but I am not sure who I am friends forever with. I know someone gave this to me, and I hope they are still my friend. There is also a magnet from my dentist because I want to be reminded everyday of the pain he inflicts upon me. I also have a photo of myself with my 2 oldest children. The photo is from 1991. I think I put it up to remind myself what I looked like (23 years ago), and it has stayed.
Here we have more magnets and original artist work. I think one is a Christmas tree and, of course, everytime I open the fridge I need to be reminded of Mr. Potato Head. There is an outdated list of the items in crisper 1 and 2. They (who are they) say that if you faithfully stick with a habit long enough it becomes ingrained. I can undoubtedly say that 6 months of writing down the fresh groceries and rotating the new produce so the oldest got used first was not long enough for the habit to be deeply implanted. It has now been 4 months of not writing it down! Also, everyone needs a 4-H magnet on their refrigerator.
