I feel I must offer an update about my allergies and the fall season that is upon us. I have always been miserable during the fall. Ragweed has always gotten the better of me and several times a week, I would be found with a pillow over my head and the lights out due to a migraine. Itchy eyes, scratchy throat and general feelings of yuckiness have plagued me since I was a small child.
Well, I am happy to report that many of those symptoms are now gone. I no longer suffer from frequent migraines. At this point, you may be wondering how, after over 40 years, I have managed to become migraine-free. About a year ago, I was forced to change my eating habits. I can no longer eat gluten. For 11 months, I have tried to be gluten free. Within the past 3 months, I have avoided all gluten and work very hard to avoid all traces of gluten and this has made all the difference.
While I gave up gluten because of digestive problems, I have reaped the benefit of finally being headache free!
Do you suffer from migraines? Have you ever tried dietary means to avoid them? I would love to hear your story!
